Last Days of the Equine
19x24, pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes
This sat on my board as a charcoal sketch for over a year, the original reason for painting it no longer relevant. But one day finishing it became important, a way of saying good-bye to the past. The title is reflective of theses feelings but also, it is a wink and a nod to an old argument. In total, it is quite possibly the most satisfying piece I have ever done.
